| Course starting dates: | 2nd Sunday of February & October | |||
| Course attendance: | 6 Sundays 10-5pm (one Sunday per month). Duration: 6 months where you recieve tuition and guidance in regards to the assignments that must be submited to ITEC.

| Practical assignment recording dates : | We arrange for the recording to take place during the two sundays following the end of tuition. Each student is allocated up to 30 minutes to give a class to his/her peers recording on the same day

|
students must complete a practical exercise ( give a class which is to be recorded as described above). Unlike all other colleges, we arrange the recording of the class for students. Students must also complete 6 theory assignments set and marked by ITEC as part of the assessment and grading of the qualification: Assignment 1 - |

Principles of Learning,
Individual requirements; Plan and Prepare Learning: Write Learning Aims and Objectives, Produce a Learning Programme, Produce Class Plans, Select and Adapt Appropriate Resources, Structure plans to encourage and assess learning, Plan for Evaluation; Delivering Learning: Creating an Appropriate Learning Environment, The different types of learning, Creating good working relationships with learners, Effective communication, How to present, instruct and demonstrate to Individuals and groups, How to manage potential distractions and interruptions, How to include individual needs and differences, Ways of providing feedback and self review; Evaluation: Evaluation for self, session and programme, principles of Reflective Practice, Ways of reviewing own practice, Sources available for own development

The course allows you to expand your skills and enhance your employability by qualifying you as a trainer for ITEC and similar awarded courses.
The Beauty and Complementary therapies sector is expanding at such a rapid rate, one of the main areas of expansion in recent years is the demand for Qualified Tutors in the Industry. The amount of teaching opportunities has vastly increased.
Lectures are conducted on Sundays from 10am - 5pm, monthly. Candidates are required to attend 6 lectures. On successful completion you will receive the ITEC Lecturing Diploma, an International Qualification which is recognised by Colleges, Insurers and Employers.
We also provide much needed  work experience to our students and graduates, lecturing and assisting real classes.

The MKF institute is registered ITEC college and as such can provide qualifications awarded by the International awarding body - Â ITEC.
The benefits of having an ITEC qualification are numerous . First of all, the qualification is recognised not just in Ireland but in 36 countries in all. Your plans might not involve travelling or working abroad at the moment but if you do decide to travel at a later stage, your qualification will be recognised.
Further, the ITEC qualification is structured and based on key skills relevant to the Industry. For instance, as you study make-up you also learn customer care, hygiene, health and safety and subjects that are related to enhancing your qualification and ensuring you understand the work place and fulfil employer’s expectations.
