professional make-up courses
We offer both full and part-time makeup courses to suit your budget and career goals.
Our full-time course covers all areas of make-up artistry as well as personal grooming. The full time programme also affords students the ability to carry out work experience at MakeupFabLicious and gain hair styling and manicure skills and experience.
Our part-time make-up courses are divided into stand alone modules. Each module listed here can be taken as a stand alone module leading to an equivalent ITEC qualification, allowing for a great degree of flexibility.
The modules can also be combined and/or taken simultaneously. The entry point module: Module 1(or equivalent awarded qualification), forms part of the entry requirement for the other two modules.
Part time students wishing to gain the Fashion, Theatre & Media Makeup Qualification (the highest ITEC make-up award) must complete all modules listed here. In that instance, students do not have to complete their portfolio at the end of the individual units or sit exams for the individual units. Instead, the student will complete the 35 looks once all units have been completed and sit the Fashion, Theatre & Media exam as a single examination.
There are instances when a student might choose to sit the Module 1 exams prior to sitting the full qualification exam. Please refer to the last option in the list below for more details.

Module 1 Part-time Make-up Course
Our part time courses are divided into stand alone modules that can be taken together or separate. Each module can lead to a qualification on its own or combined for multiple qualifications or to achieve a more advanced qualification in make-up, allowing you to choose the areas you want to study and the qualification you want to attain.Â

Module 2 - fashion & photographic make-up Course
This Photographic and Fashion Make-up course at ITEC Level 3 (equivalent to fetac level 6) is ideal for anybody that want to learn more advanced fashion and photographic make-up techniques. The course is suitable for anybody that have completed the module 1 foundation in make-up course.
Module 2 course (part-time)

Module 3 - Stage, Special Effects & Media Make-up Course
This Stage, Special Effects & Media Make-up course at ITEC Level 3 (equivalent to fetac level 6) is ideal for anybody that want to learn more advanced Stage, Special Effects & Media make-up techniques. The course is suitable for anybody that have completed the module 1 foundation in make-up course.

Gaining the combined qualification as a single award: fashion, theatre and media make-up diploma

Fashion, Theatre & Media Make-up Diploma
Students wishing to acquire the combined Diploma in Fashion, Theatre & Media Make-up must complete all modules above either simultaneously or individually. Upon completing of all modules, the student can undertake the portfolio photoshoot and exams for the diploma. If the student has decided to acquire this qualification at a later stage, after completing the portfolio for one or more of the modules and after sitting exams for the module, the student is exempt from that area when sitting the examination for this diploma.

Full time( 2 days per week) Beauty & Make-up Artistry Programme
The full-time course allows you to complete the highest make-up qualification awarded by ITEC during an academic year (Sept-June). The programme also offers students the ability to attain a great deal of work experience during their studies. It covers beauty/cosmetology, introduction to manicure, Eye brow Shaping, Spray tanning and make-up including beauty/wearable make-up, special effects, stage and character make-up, fashion/photographical make-up. The course is ideal for PLC students and these wishing to invest the time into acquiring a fully comprehensive make-up qualification

The MKF institute is registered ITEC college and as such can provide qualifications awarded by the International awarding body - Â ITEC.
The benefits of having an ITEC qualification are numerous . First of all, the qualification is recognised not just in Ireland but in 36 countries in all. Your plans might not involve travelling or working abroad at the moment but if you do decide to travel at a later stage, your qualification will be recognised.
Further, the ITEC qualification is structured and based on key skills relevant to the Industry. For instance, as you study make-up you also learn customer care, hygiene, health and safety and subjects that are related to enhancing your qualification and ensuring you understand the work place and fulfil employer’s expectations.
